Ebates

I was telling my brother-in-law about how I make my online purchases. Nearly every single time I make an online purchase, I go through ebates.com first. Ebates is a website that pays you back a percentage or fixed dollar amount for every purchase you make. If you're going to make the purchase anyway, why not?

In just three month's time, I've made $29.34, plus a $10 Target gift card. Forty bucks over three months for purchases I would have made anyway!

Obviously, the more you spend, the more you get back, so be careful. I am traveling to see my family in Texas, so it was great to get a little money back on those very expensive plane tickets. Plus, our Time Magazine renewal is coming up soon, and I see Magazines.com has a year's subscription to Time for $30, but if I go through ebates.com first, I get $10 back. A whole year of Time for $20 is a really, really good deal!
